I am so sick of the poor quality of my A/C. For the last 6 months I've had lots of rattleing issues and they don't seem to ever do anything when I bring it in. It took them 2 visits and like 3 monthes to figure out that the lojack that was mounted above the map lights fell off. I took it in and they gave it back to me without doing anything (i don't think they actually drove it or attempted to do anything). then i made them take the trim off and then they figured it out.

When i have the sunshade closed, it makes noise when i hit a bump.

Now the trim on the passenger pillar (the front where the speaker is) is falling off and the piece of trim behind the driver seat above the seat belt is falling off too.

There is rattling coming from what seems like above the part where the seat belt goes into the wall. There is also rattling coming from the below the shifter.

Anyone else having these issues?? I know its all relative when I turn on the radio but its really annoying.

I see you have a 3.5.

I've a 3.5 and it's as quiet as can be. I've heard some complaints withthe 2.5.

Maybe you've got a razor blade in your car loose somewhere.

Seriously....completely quiet...I love it.....

Wait...now I probably jinxed it and I'll wake up to the biggest rattle ever.

The seat belt thing.. yeah. Thats just beacuse of the metal clip part being SO close to the door, that when its unbuckled and you hit a bump, its actually hitting the pillar by your door. I dare you to buckle the seat belt and hear that same rattle! Easy solution is just slightly wrap it towards the front part of the seat when no one is in it. Other than that.. no rattles from my coupe *shrug*.

Sunshades.. I dunno how long before they spot the fix for the AC if its a problem, but check out the G35 forum, they had a similar issue when the G's first came out! the fix for them may work for you. (I remmeber running across it when I was originally looking for a G lol)

I got masive rattle problem also. It's not really loud, but just enough to annoy you. It's coming from passenger seats, the doors, the mid console or maybe below the shift, and the rear seats. It's like a symphony of tiny rattle all over the place. It wasn't this bad when I had stock springs, but after I got my eibach prokit, all the parts that were loose are now audible. Didn't realize it until then, but the whole car seems like it is made of clip-ons everywhere..no bolts at all. The dealer supposely ordered parts and fixed the seat noise, but its even worse now, and as for the other rattles... they said they can't detect any noise. After dropping off my car 2 times, I have to go back and test drive it with the mechanic to find the problem. I either have to turn the music on or have someone sitting on the front and back seats and gently tab the doors to enjoy some silence. I still love the car, but interior is made so poorly, it frustrates me everyday. I even complained about the clutch being so horrible, but as always, they "can't seem to duplicate the problem". I paid 27.5K for a clip-on car.

I have a really annoying squeak when going over bumps at slow speeds. I can't tell where it is going from. I don't hear it at highway speeds. I wonder if it could be the Eibach springs? I have a bunch of rattles too. Pretty disappointed.

My car seems to be rattle free. Part of that could be the extensive sound deadening, but I think this car stock was still more quiet than my '99 Civic after sound deadening. The only rattle I have is in the doors, but it's from the speakers so I need to fix up the deadening in there. Everything else is solid, and that's even with a sub trying to vibrate the sheet metal off the frame. If you've got rattles, just take the car apart and put in some sound deadener.

LOL ! Quit making fun of my razor blade !

I have a slight rattle up front somewhere (more like a rattling hum) but it's intermittent. I did figure out the seat belt rattle. I've only had my A/C for three weeks. Hope things don't get worse.

There is a bulletin out for the sunshade... there are a bunch of websites devoted to archiving all car bulletins. Check into it-- I think they just replace the clips.

As for the doors and whatnot-- if you have *anything* in the door holders (plastic bottles, change, etc) you will get rattling-- especially when playing music. I thought I heard a rattle once and it was just my empty plastic bottle that I hadn't thrown away yet.

I've heard the seat belt rattle but thats only when someone isnt in the seat-- its just what everyone else mentioned-- its the metal seat belt clip hitting the plastic.

As for your trim coming loose- I have no clue how or what might be doing that. Noone here has had any problems like that.. at least I haven't seen nor heard anyone complain of it.

The only rattle I truly have in my car is my sunglasses. When they are in the sunglass holder and I have my music up loud it tends to vibrate in there.

u paid 27.5k, i paid about 40k canadian (with tax and shipping BS)

and yes i have alot of squeeks and rattles in my car too, but one major one i want to fix is the dash/cd changer area, theres always a plastic tap/tick noise when ever i go thru certain bumps, and it really annoys me cause when i took the cd changer out i didnt see anything that could cause this, i am assuming it is the plastic touching...i should try using some sound deadening on this but i am a newb at using that stuff

the only rattling i got was when i put my exhaust on with no cat. the driver side door panel would rattle and it was annoying. put the cat back on and it pretty much went away, but i'm going to take it back off again lol i'm thinking about trying to put some of that special type of paint or what ever it is, under the car to maybe stop it a little bit and when i get a sound system ill do the whole interior with dynamat or something and that should kill all the rattles for me

I have had my 2.5 from mid November and I have had no issues at all with the coupe. My 2000 Frontier was free of problems as was my wifes 2000 Xterra. Great car.Bruce

The passenger seatbelt rattle can be alleviated by rotating the door post seatbelt holder towards the front of the car. This is the case on the G35 since 2003 and someone confirmed the same setup on the ACs some time ago.

ive had the same problem with the rattling. HOWEVER i have the greddy exhaust w/o the silencers and for the life of me i can not remember if the rattling started before i put on the greddy. But i do agree that the quality of the way things are put together is quite shaky

I have some minor rattles, but I am not going to trade my car in. The passenger seat will make a noise at highway speeds sometimes, if no one is in it. I get a rattle out of the headliner almost above my head. None of these are constant, and they have not gotten worse. I will say one thing, my wife has a 09 Toyota Camry SE with almost the same mileage as my AC, and it does not have any rattles. T C

My car rattles like a 10 year old hooptie too. It's too bad because other than that I really like the car.

I get some squeakin' and creakin' when the car is cold, but most noises disappear after things warm up a bit, or on warmer days...
