shutter valve issue

Hi, I'm planning to replace the shutter valve in the gas tank. I have trouble filling the tank up, it won't let me put no more then 5 gallons! if I force it in the gas will jus spew out of the filler and onto the body I'm guessin that the fuel pump location is underneath the subwoofer and the rear storage compartment. A tech told me that u are able to fit ur hand and replace the shutter valve inside the gas tank without dropping the whole thing. any help with the removal would be great or locations on the fuel pump.
