i am getting a shutter or shaking in my car at roughly between 60 to 70 at which point it dissapears. i am lead to believe it is the wheels, which i have ordered new ones just waiting to arrive. does it sound like a wheel balance issue to you guys. the car does have a 5spd swap and no problems that i am aware of. and the shaking only happens beteen the mph as stated above. should i have them balanced untill my new wheels arive rouhly one month. have to wait on tires also and funds.

yea you need your wheels balanced. if you want to rough it out then go ahead until you're wheels come, thats what I would to. but obviously, constant shaking and vibration isnt good for anything. just stay outta the 60s

Could be the drive shaft center bearing,or a worn universal joint. Easy to check, try moving the drive shaft right at the center bearing. How many miles on the car?

In the whole car or the steering wheel? I had a shudder in the steering wheel at those speeds and was told it was my rotors.

update... so i got the tires rotated and got my strut bar put on and there seems to be no more shake. yay. but know my freakin brake lights would not turn off. wtf. so i narrowed it down to an electrical prblem. i replaced some bulds a couple of nights ago and one of them must have gotten really hot. the bulbs i used that i would stay away from were sylvania silverstars with the gold looking bulb. well anyways it partially melted the fitting and apparently basicaly soldered itself to the contact points. so i replaced the bulbs now one works and the other stays on. so i am going to have to repalce the whole taillamp assembly, which i was going to do anyways. huh, oh well.
