Hey guys, as you know, I am relatively new to the vert world and was just wondering if this is normal.

When I hit large bumps with the vert, it seems as though the front suspension shudders. Both the driver and passenger feels this and it can also be fealt through the steering wheel. This is even worsened if one of the tires goes over a large bump and the other front tire doesn't. The suspension setup on the vert consits of Koni Yellows and Tanabe GF215 springs.

My coupe has never done this with the various suspension setups its had including the stock suspension, sportlines/agx combo, and Tein Flex coilovers.

I thought it was shocks at first because the suspension was on set too softly so I put the fronts on full stiff. This did not seem to make a difference. The rears have always been on full stiff and this studder never comes from the rear. Also, I put a front strut bar on the car (thinking the frame was flexing too much) and this also didn't change a thing.

The shocks are relatively new according to the previous owner so I am pretty sure they are not blown. There also do not seem to be any leaking coming from the shocks.

I was just wondering if this is normal for a vert? If so, besides adding a roll cage, how can I improve this while still maintaining everyday driveability?

verts do get a bit of cowl shake. Hitman fixed his shimmy with a triangular strut tower bar.

You might wanna try there first.

Booourns, I was hoping something was wrong with my car lol.

So where can I find one of these triangulated strut tower bars? I searched on ebay with no results lol.

And these traingulated bars also bolt to the firewall correct? Does this mean I have to drill holes in the firewall? Also, what do I do with the brake lines that are connected to the firewall?

Railroad tracks...I hate passing over those. My front shakes like crazy. Anyway, you might want to check tension rods. Bushings pop very easy.

AZHitman can answer that better than me. I only have a regular strut tower bar.

TC bushings could be a possibility. I always forget about them since I changed those out for hard rubber within in the first week of owning the car.

Ugh, mine does the shimmy and shakes too, but in the rear, I know mine are from blown struts.
