What a coincidence... I just replaced the chrome tips on mine yesterday. They were a little corroded...

Got new 4" long (2" diam) chrome slash-cut tips at PepBoys for $3.99 each. Went on easy, removed the supplied set screws and replaced with some nice stainless self-tappers. While I was at it, I sprayed the rear muffler with some flat black. Make sure you put a coat of wax on the rear area of the car so any overspray can be wiped off...

Looks good to me!

Ha-ha... I've got the same ones.

$8 = 8 HP, right?

i'd post a pic of mine, but if you're only replacing the tips and the rest is stock it won't help you. i have 2 polished stainless dual tips, but mine is not stock. btw, when are you going to post some pics of your new paint job? don't make me hunt you down and take pics myself.

You might want to try to find high-temp paint (for bbq grills or engines) to paint the muffler... not sure how hot it gets, but I've used it in the past with good results. The old Q's didn't have tips, so I've never dealt with them...

Did you take off the original ones or just go over them?
