I'm gonna be ordering some in the next month or so and making a custom box for them behind my rear seats. I haven't been able to find too many other installations on here. Lets see 'em!

That is little

First of all, I still have a lot of work to do, wrap the Apillars, finish box, and so on, but I thought id go ahead and show you were Im currently at on my install.

Layout:Pioneer Premier 780mp HeadunitInfinity 6.5 components, front AND rearBravox Tweeters in the Apillar.2nd SVR battery in the rear. 4 12inch Bravox UXP subs2 Memphis 1000D mono block amps (1000RMS each at 1ohm)1 Cheap 4 channel (125 RMS X 4, yea right lol) need to upgrade soon.

Box is roughly 7.6 cubic feet. My seats still fold up, and the top of the box is equal to the top of the seats so I can still use the rearview mirror with no problems.

Door panel, and A pillar, A pillars still need to be wrapped with the same material as my seats and doors, so the tweeters dont stick out like a sore thumb. Infinity tweeters are down near the bottom of the door.

4 12box, dont mind the different colored carpet, just trying to see how it fit to the curves on the wall with carpet on the front panel, when finished it will go all the way up flush with the subs.

Heres a pic of everything out of the car, waiting on install:

Well, thats all the pics I have for now. Feel free to tell me if you like or hate it. I bought this car with no intention of doing a stereo, and bought it only for the gas mileage, then got caught by the bug again. Oh well, live goes on. Thanks for reading.

Sheepdip! Four 12" woofers in a subcompact car?

My home stereo has one Paradigm 10" and it fills the room with bass.

Nice ported box....Take some pix of the box in the back when you get a chance, I'm thinking of adding and wanna see how much room is left. My 15"s are in a sealed enclosure and I touch the back of the seats and the trunk interioir. Honestly, yurr subs look like 10's in that box --- so you did a good job with spacing out yurr box... Do you think 4 x 15"z would fit & how, if so???Nice amps too.... I'm running a Memphis M-Class for interiors too and 2 x Kicker KX600.1 amps for the Subs -- built it up from one amp and one sub to here.Gonna bi-amp interiors soon.. Using Studio Speakers for mids --- just learned about them and liked the clear sound.

Might even do custom door panels w. multiple speakers in each door or even a single 15" Studio MID...

Well, the box is 7.6 CuFt, before sub and port displacement. Space wise on the face of the box, yes 4 15s would fit. The problem would be, finding 4 15s that either like less then 2 cubs each ported, Or about 1.8 each sealed. Without loosing your rearview mirror, the box cannot be any bigger. 1 inch bigger in any direction, and this box wouldnt fit. Only option to make it bigger is go closer to the roof, thus loosing your rearview.

Also, seeing the pic with your door panel off reminds me of something.

DYNAMAT YOUR DOORS!!!

I just put about 24square feet of dynamat in just my doors, and it made a HUGE difference. I put a full layer on the outer skin, then a full layer on the frame of all 4 doors. Car runs ALOT quieter down the road, and midbass and vocals sound SO much better. Well worth the money, especially if you have a hook up on dynamat, or second skin.

Ahhh Finally, a BASS forum...I'm running KICKER CVR15"z ---  Power handling: 100-500 watts RMS  sealed box volume: 1.8-5.2 cu. ft.

"Only option to make it bigger is go closer to the roof, thus loosing your rearview. "

What do you think of losing the spare and going down, maybe even a fiberglass custom enclosure???

I'm also seriously considering the custum door panels --- Don't know exactly what config though.. Really considering 15" MIDz --- if the enclosure fit in the door panels and still closes... That would be KOOL...

If you went down, and did a fiberglass encloser, then sure, you could probably squeeze possibly 10cuft out of the trunk.

With my seats up, and hatch closed, you only see the top of the box, even with the top of the seats. Open the hatch, you see 2 Sub amps, 1 4 channel, battery, distro block, so on.

But out of wood, I would see 8cuft hard to do, with actually building the box out of the car, and being able to fit it in through the hatch.

I personally would suggest 2 GOOD 15s, over 4 15inch Kickers.

Look into Fi BLs, or the new Orion HCCAs, Treo SSX, plenty of subs out there.

Im currently redoing my setup, starting over, and going with 2 Fi BLs. They need roughly 1000 RMS each, and 2 of those should destroy my current 4 12s. Also, im looking into picking up some of the 8-3-1 Dynaudio Components. But im going to wait to drop $1400 on components until after christmas.

I also just spent almost 5grand on a new ring for the woman. So that put a nice dent in my savings.
