Anybody plasti dip the roof of their car? I have a white M and want to get the roof black cuz I think it'll look sick and also protect it since the roof is harder to clean. I got quoted $250 for vinyl wrap! I said screw that, so I'm thinking about plasti dippin it. Has anyone ever done it? And did you use cans or spray gun?
Also is plasti waterproof and how long does it last?

Hmmm ... I don't know how good the roof would look over time. Plus, the wear of the paint would be different, so if you ever took the plasti stuff off later, then the color under the roof might not match the rest of the car.

I guess, in my old age, I have seen too many old GM cars with the peeling vinyl roofs to consider doing this to my car!

Great music but great results. If My M was white I'd do the roof black. I hear from Fonzie you can get 5+ years if applied correctly (at least 4 coats wating 10min between coats) and you avoid super high preessure washes and the cheap gas station washes, etc.
You might also consider doing a faux carbon fiber roof:
