This is my first post so sorry if i did anything wrong!

I bought my first car recently and it is a 91 240sx and when going into gear there is a vibration. This is the only car i have driven that is a manual so i don't have anything to compare it to. Is this normal? If i left out any info just let me know and i will provide it.
Thanks!

Typically, I wouldn't worry too much about vibrations. Broken motor or trans mounts might cause excessive vibration due to the motor and trans being able to move more than they should. If the shifter hasa lot of play in it (like it moves a lot side to side when in gear), then the small plastic bushing on the end of the shifter has gone bad.

It does not really have any play. But thanks! I just wanted to make sure.

Yeah if you are physically shoving it forward or back, you'll tend to get more vibration than if you just leave it in its position. Even then, you'll have some vibrations... these things have old 4 cylinders, not modern smooth V8s ;)
