should i travel long distance?

i have a 92 240sx and i live in ca my mom wants me to travel to arizona 600 miles away should i use my nissan or renty a car. take good care never any problems just chaning the starter now. car has 147,000 miles

Shouldn't have any problems as long as the car has no pre-existing issues.

no problems really needs a new starter but installing friday should i take it to get the 200 point inspection for $400

stuff that is going to go is probably not detectable by inspection ie fuel pump, clutch , transmission, ignition coil. if you have only been doing short trips, something might show up in a long trip. not sure. maybe check radiator hoses. take extra water and cell phone and plan out what you will do if you do break down. its not the end of the world.
