There's nothing wrong with the Probe GT 5sp for what it is (and when it came out). It simply received no aftermarket love due to the Mazda 2.5 v6. It drove well and handled good for a FWD car.

i find that pretty funny because when the Probe was first made, Ford thought about releasing it as a Mustang and it wasnt until feedback from consumers that Ford decided to release it as its own model the Probe. If it would have been released as a Mustang would you like it then?I used to have a 89 Probe GT and it wasnt a bad car but i traded it even trade for my first 240 a base model 93 Hatch. The first gen Probe GT's are turbo and are faster than the second gen GT's that had the V6 and they all have a little place under the hood that says Manufactured by Mazda for Ford Motor Company, so i look at them as imports because they are mechanically the same as a MX-6 and yeah the after market support for them sucks.

1. That wing doesn't produce enough force to lessen traction at the drive wheels (FWD) nor is that even remotely possible anyway.

2. Wings like that used on FWD (and all cars for that matter) are to stabilize the rear end of the car at high speeds (generally 110+ mph)

So in conclusion please inform yourself before making stupid statements

On a side note if you have ever driven a car over 100+ (I doubt) you would know that the @ss end of a car starts to sway as well as rise with high speeds and chicanes.
