i was thinking about trading my fully worked SR for a RB it has work consisting over 5k into it ( Fully rebuilt cometic head gasket and arp studs, redtop fully upgraded valve train can withstand 8100 rpm's all JUN tit. valve train parts and JUN 264 cams , greddy suction kit ,greddy pullys ,apexi power FC, power fc boost controller kit , fully rebuilt transmission short shifter . I'm thinking i'm not going to be producing enogh power to play with the big boys around here so I'm thinking should i trade my built SR for a rb whole swap motor set and driveshaft and mounts what do you guys think.

With a big turbo you can reach around 500 with that set up. I'd just be worried about the bottom end after the 500hp. I dont know much about RB's but I think you'd be taking quite a hit trying to start from scratch with a stock RB and getting there.

Hell to the No! I wouldn't get rid of an SR with that much invested into it, especially if the RB is stock. Is the RB an RB20, RB25, RB26? It would at least have to be a 25 or 26 with some nice hardware to even consider a trade. Just my 2 cents.

keep your SR unless you get a swapped and running RB 26, but it really depends on what you want to do with the car.

id say keep the sr dont even consider anything but rb25 and 26, the thing that keeps me from wanting a rb is the parts aspect it seems pretty tuff to get some of the individual engine parts and even on ebay there's not much rb support where you can go to the dealer and get most of the parts you might need there, but what if your rb cas goes bad or other sensors that stuff is just hard to find. In my forum cruizing i know of at least 2 cars that have went from rb to sr because the rb broke down.
