Should i Trade my car in for...

Should i trade my 2009 2.5L coupe (25,000 miles) in for a 2008 3.5 (35,000 Miles). Same color (red).. i wonder if they can do on -site after market parts to oem swap if i do the trading. I checked KBB both car valued Excellent at 18,970/19130 and Good at 17,920/18,030 .. just couple hundred dollar different. What do you guys think? ist a good trade. Opinion needed

if you really want the 3.5then go for it as long as you could afford it. I personally wouldn't do the deal since it would be starting your contract over again

what do you mean by on-site aftermarket to OEM swap? Like take parts off your 2.5 and put on the 3.5?

The cars are identical i'm assuming, so you will gain power and lose mpg. Why are you unhappy with the 2.5?

Im happy with the look but I though if I can on site swap ( I have stillen full body kit, stillen sway and stb) for a older model .. Drive in with my 09 coupe with all aftermarket and drive away with same parts swap on to the 08', in the end of the day, I will lose the left over manufacture warranty, gettin an older model car with 30000 or so milage. but gaining 100 extra hp. I might need to pay some labor cost for the swap out. Overall, the reason I want the swap.is the extra horses.

There's a couple things to think about. 1) your not going to get that amount from a dealership for your car. 2) they probably will deck you for the mods. 3) the new one will have to be the exact same color. 4) you will pay retail for the car which is more $$ then you saw. 4) if they are ok with swapping parts they will charge you.
If you can do that and thats what you want go for it! detail the car fully inside and out, dealerships like a clean cars and will pay more for it!! My car has been assesed and valued at 20K, and it looks better then cars off the lot. Many people say I have the cleanest car on campus lol. but I bet a dealer will buy it at like 17K at the most, they try to low ball and pay trade-in value. If you get it post some pics !!!

1) I know dealer sh*ts not gonna give the most for my ride.. 2)Im not sure they will deck me for the mods, i will do a mods swap.. and bringing my oem stuff i kept... 3) check! same color... 4) I will do my best to negotiate so that my 2009 2.5L value about the same as their 2008 3.5... 5) yep, already expect some sort of over price labor cost on my way for the swap... If i get it .. it will look exactly like my current ride except bigger engine haha

I looked at the coupe they have.. Its got some serious rock chips and door dings .. And the shop decided they cant do the swap for me becus liability reason .. f***

Go to a custom shop and have them take off all your mods and put the OEM ones back on. You'll have to pay but if it's what you want then you'll do it. And how much damage is there to the exterior? I'd get a quote to fix it and then have them take that off the cost of the 3.5.

I looked the 08 altima the other day.. the car itself got cigarette burn on the ceiling and on the cloth seats. outside the car, its got door dings, rock chips on the hood, and lot of scratches all around.. look pretty beat up if you walk up close. if my current car cosmetic is a 8/10 .. that car is like 4/10 to me. I didn't test drive the car. I need to find out how much to fix all those dings and retouch on the cosmetic damages first. If im going to ditch out more than 1500-2000$ then i might as well keep my car.

I want something different, not that I was going to trade but I ask them about 370Z but they said it's all gone with '12 on the way.

My next Coupe will be Subaru Coupe!

I dont think you would be happy with it. you may be upgrading to a 3.5 but your downgrading to a car that is not as nice, and probably not as well taken care of. If you still want one I'd tell the dealer to call you when they have a nicer one.

okay guys.. just an update i decide not to trade in my car for the 08 coupe. im looking at spending additional $1,500-2,000 to make up the cosmetic and replacement. So instead i went on eBay .. and purchased a set of Angel Eye Projector for my coupe (Here is my thought process: if i cant get this trade which i been expecting for past few weeks, then i must spend some money somewhere! lol).. yes i know this has nothing to do with the trade or not trade haha .. anyways.. maybe post some pic of the new headlight..
