Personally I'd keep the car for 10 years. But if you do have a case of new car fever, I don't see a real big difference between a 2011 and a 2012. I was in a similiar situation when I got my 2009 at the end of August. Then a few weeks later the 2010 came into the showrooms. Never did I have buyers remorse and I didn't feel the differences were so dramatic. No matter what, a new car is a new car to me.
Heck, is milk that expires 2 days later really better or the bread in the back of the bag any fresher? I think this is what these big companies today are trying to get the consumer to focus that next years model is the best thing since slice bread and you should have it. Brainwashing I think.

I didn't even own the Nissan Rogue barely a year and my dealership is already sending me junk mail about getting a great deal on trading my Rogue in for a newer model. I think that's adsurd.
Back to the topic.
Moreover, you presumeably get the end of the month and last 2011 end model year deals. So some money can be saved. So if you wanna save a few bucks, you definitely get more bang for the buck on a 2011. Less so a on 2012 and even worse on a 2013 if you wait a year.
Lastly, you did complain about the blind spot and I heard the future models will have the bird-eye-view if those blind spots during parking are a problem.
Here is also an opinion I found online by some auto writer:
2012 Nissan Rogue Buying Advice

Should you wait for the 2012 Nissan Rogue or buy a 2012 Nissan Rogue? Buy a 2011 Rogue. The 2012 Rogue could enjoy another round of features-enhancement but isn’t apt to change enough to compel you to wait. The 2011 Rogue locks in place the look this crossover will wear until its model-year 2014 redesign, so its styling will have a longer shelf life than the 2012’s. And you’ll be able to bask in the glow of your freshened SUV before all-new versions of the category’s top two sellers -- the 2012 Ford Escape and 2012 Honda CR-V – threaten to steal the scene.
