I got a quote from Infinity dealer for G37 Journey for a special price: 34,903 with Cargo Net, Illuminated Kickplates, Glass Breakage Sensor. I estimated my trade in value which is 21,600. Should I go for G37, if yes then can I low the price a lil bit more ? Thanks

I say if ur economically affluent, do it. With this economy and if ur a little tight on the wallet, drive the AC through Obama's term and then use what you have saved up to get a nice car then. Both are really nice cars just differ in luxury-ness.

Wait till Obama gives us those stimulus checks!!! He is a pretty smart guy so I do think he will come to his senses though and realize that taking money from one group of people and giving it to another group of people does not create new wealth and does not improve the long term health of an economic system.

your simplified (and regurgitated) semi analysis of what decmocrats do when in power belongs in the politics forum where it can be properly defunked.... trickle down economics is partially what got us here... giving tax cuts to the wealthy and "hoping" that it tricles down to the rest of the population DOES NOT WORK... it inevitably leads to the rich getting richer and the poor getting poorer...

also, not only is Obama a "pretty smart guy" but he's a hell of a lot smarter than 99% of the population (including you and I), and even he gets economic advise from folks that are "smarter" than he is... so coming to his senses probably isn't going to happen.. he's already there!

also, tax break, stimulus package and stimulus checks are NOT the same thing... if you've read the proposed stimulus package, it DOESN"T call for a blank stimulus check to be issued to individuals, but merely a tax break giving folks about and extra $20-$30 on each check (on average) spread out over the next few years...

Now back to the question at hand...NO, save your money

Did you get a dealer's estimate of your car? I'm pretty the trade-in value would be in $18K or less. So basically you have a roughly $16K-18K price difference. If you get a 5-yr loan with about 8% rate, that would be you around $300-400 a month.

I was going to trade my altima for a 08 350Z Nismo, but I ended up trading for an used 08 Enthusiast model. Instead of $18K difference with Nismo model, it was a $7K difference for regular Z.

Do you have a 2.5 or 3.5?

If it is a 3.5, then you should keep it bro.

If you have a 3.5 fully loaded with premium and tech package, I'd say keep your $$

Save your money man, delayed gratification is how you get ahead in life... Its not like you are driving a used civic and need a new car.

The ONE and ONLY reason to get an Infiniti (for me at least) is the 4-wheel active steering option which gives you parallel-like lane-changing. This option is so rare and expensive (46k MSRP) that you'll probably never see one.

Bottom line: If you can't afford to buy a new one without trading your A/C in, you're probably not in the comfort zone of getting it.

Where did you get your trade in value information? From the dealership itself or the online Nissan estimator? The dealerships are not bound in anyway to give you what the website estimated.
