Howdy,

I've had my a/c (v6 SE) about 10 months now, overall am pleased, but am unhappy with a few things. Performance is excellent, using regular fuel is a plus, and the car has been for the most part very reliable. Interior however is kind of cheap, ok its really cheap, and that annoys me a lot, considering the car costs 25K.

Is the interior in the `07 and `08 Z's any different than in the a/c? I currently have the cloth interior in my a/c, maybe should have bought the leather upgrade... Is the cloth interior in the Z at least decent, is the leather/stereo upgrade package worth it?

Also, I needed to buy winter tires for my a/c, I can imagine that the Z would definitely need winter tires. Even w/ a good set, is the car still okay in snow..?.. I'm guessing that the RWD is crazy.

thx!!

If the only reason you're switching is for interior, then I wouldn't really do it. The Z is fantastic, and I love mine, but it seems kinda silly to switch because of cloth seats. You lose two seats and I don't think the interior changes too much. If the leather in the 07'-08' is anything like the 04', then it's kinda hard leather, but it's durable and doesn't require much attention to keep it looking / smelling nice (unless maybe you sweat a lot).

To your winter tire comments: I've only been on the my350z.com forums for like a week now and I've already seen about 5 posts about accidents relating to using stock or summer tires in winter conditions. Granted, some of it may have to do with reckless driving, but... doesn't seem worth it to risk

I almost bought the A/C v6. I stopped when every dealership tried to feed me some bull**** lines about how it's going to cost an extra 2k to have one ordered. (I think the best price I was quoted was 36k before TTL -- yeah, right...) That and they kept pushing the 4cyl. on me, which I told them I did not want. Btw, how does the ECVT feel? Does it rev and pull like a normal transmission? I still haven't ridden in one and was curious about this. I know I love loud noises and big pulls from high rev's in the Z!

Borla TD + Berk HFC's coming soon to my Z...

pcpower, are you on dog food!! Get the Z and worry about the tires later. Although for snow I would opt for the VDC option it works well in my car in the rain and then i turn it off the rest of the time. I have leather interior and I have seen better but I like it. I dont particularly care for the cloth interior on the Z's. Somebody dropped the ball on that one.

If you live in a state where you see snow quite a bit during the winter, all I can say is I hope you have another vehicle to drive besides the Z. Or if your going to drive it through the snow, I wish you good luck, cause your crazy if you do. I bought my Z during February of this year, and it was the most miserable drive I have ever taken, trying to get it home in one piece without going in the ditch. These cars are not made for the snow. Period. When I arrived home I pushed it in the garage because at the time we had 1/4 inch of snow on the ground, and got stuck in the driveway, and was just spinning out.

THe cloth interior just makes the car a little lighter. Don't try to drive the Z in the snow. They don't like snow very much. Find yourself a beater instead.

huh? someone said that cloth compared to leather makes the car a little lighter. i guess someone else is eating dog food.the premium package that i have on my altima coupe is pretty nice, and the seats hold you real well in corners. the z still has a sportier interior though. I love both z's and a/c's, but don't trade because of your seats dude.

snows is bad to a Z SO... trade in and move to another state? i think its a positive option, Zs are worth it.

I have a Z and A/C, the A/C is great in the snow. The RWD Z is in the garage all winter. If you live somewhere that gets a significant amount of snow, and don't have another car to get you through it, keep the A/C. Zs are great, but you'd lose a lot of money, and its not worth it just because of the seats.
