So, wiring, clutch, and adaptor plate nightmares aside.

Would the Manual trans off a Z32, with an adaptor plate be somewhat compatible in the long grand scheme 10 year project of things with a q45?

Free parts for long term projects are always good.

Is it the NA trans or TT? If NA, I'd pass.

no they are different. The tt transmission is closer to the R32 GTR, the NA is closer to the 240...

They do have the same gearing though, but have different output splines and so forth.

Not entirely sure about the differences. The diffs are certainly different, but I have a feeling the box's are the same. Been a long time since I saw an NA one though. Will do some checking!

Edit: The service manual shows the same part for both (RS5R30A) only difference being the oil capacity which I'm presuming is the extra in the cooling circuit for the TT box.

Good to know...

Sure, get it

Buy an adapter from John Dixon when they become available.

How's that going, John?

Really John.....?? I thought that if you had an automatic, N/A and you put in a twin turbo MT, you would have to change driveshaft, But you would not have to switch driveshafts if you had a turbo auto going to a turbo MT

That's true but it has nothing to do with the difference between tt and na.

Any (tt or na) auto driveshafts are different and will not work on ANY (tt or na) 5spd trans.

Also, I did some checking and they are infact the same transmission, even though I guess that had already been established. lol
