I am considering selling my '93 GXE and my POS '95 Ford Ranger (bottom end model, no options at all, save for power steering) and buying a Z32 TT. How much money can I expect from my Maxima (great condition, I'll have some pics up soon)? What's the price of a twin turbo Z32 right now? I know there are at least two for sale in my area, which is rare, so I want to get one while I can. (Both are pearl white, one excellent condition, the other has a slightly smashed lower rear bumper.) What do you think? A Fairlady for my beloved Maxima? It would be a no-brainer if I hadn't taken such good care of my car. I'll put this in the Z forum, too, but I this was the best place for people who understand my "No, not my Maxima, anything but that" mentality.

I realized I had to have 2 cars. My maxima is my daily driver with my 240 being my play car, I tend to break my 240 often. I have seen the Z32 turbos go from 7K to 13K, depends on the condition. Most stock good condition Z32 turbos going from 9K to 11K here local. Do what you want to do. Keep in mind the good and the bad of going to this new car. I love all the Z's.

I'm not too worried about needing two cars, since I am not married and will be the car's only driver. I will be selling the Ranger either way, the main thing here is wether I am willing to part with my Maxima, and whether I will be able to get enough money from the sales to buy the Z. And to decide that, I need more information on the Z, and resale value of my Maxima. My other concern is the Z only having 2 seats. I know firsthand the problems a 2 seater causes from my Ranger (its got 3 seats, but the middle is useless since its got a manual tranny), and I can't even squeese someone in the middle of the Z. I guess I could settle for a 2+2 if that's too big a deal though...

Yes the danger ranger needs to go. The 2+2 sounds like a good idea.

Wow, didn't realize how many other people hate the ranger like I do. I'm glad I can finally sell it; since the day--yes the very DAY--I bought it, it has had problems up the...well, stick a creative word here. But the Maxima I'm not so willing to part with unless its a really good trade. I mean a REALLY good one. That car is my baby...it was going to be my sleeper Vette-killer. I can't decide whether I want my fast sedan, or a nice Z. If only some rich dude would give me some money, this would all be so much easier...

Sleeper sedan. Nothing is like the faces of ****y 'vette/stang drivers when this 4 door import blows them off the road.

I would REALLY research the costs of maintaining, insuring, and driving the z32 and all other options before a purchase. Just advice from someone who has made MANY quick decisions when buying cars in the past.
