Purchase a 240( probally a really stupid question since everyone here owns one )

Hey there, new on the forums. Been looking into getting a 240( a Zenki) for sometime now, and with everything in the world getting more expensive thought it would be a good time. Got a couple questions, thought maybe you guys could help

Right now i drive a 01' 150 bought it about a year and half ago. The car its self is in great condition little less than 95k miles, just did some work new breaks and such. Buts its not a good daily driver around town, was good when i was working in construction with my father, but now its just a gas hog. I want something smaller and i want a standard again. The KBB on its about 9k so i could easily sell it and get a 240, right?

The 240 would be my daily driver, i have yet to talk to anyone on how much work needs to be done to them to keep them running, i know a buddy of mine has an older suburu and he has to constally work on it to keep it running. And when purchasing one is there a certain mods/part that i should stear clear of? Anyone tell me about this.

Also whats the MPG on them, dosen't matter that much anythings better than what im getting now lol ( like 10 in town).

Been looking at a couple of cars near my house, will post the adds for them later, help answering the Q's for a newbie would be greatly appreciated

you should get one if you have a love for cars. the 240sx will just put a smile on your face. is it going to take work to stay running? absolutly most of the cars are almost twenty years old with the youngest ones being 11 years old. it will take maintenece. but these cars will last over two hundred thousands miles as long as they are maintained properly. your not going to get away from maintence with any used car.

the gas mileage i get is about 20 city and 25 highway but i also drive like an a$$ hope that helps

It all depends on what you want from it. I personally like the handling of it. I like the fact that you can drop anthing you can dream of under the hood. This is truly my dream car. I had a r32 at one point and still like the 240 better. But like I said it all depends on what you like and what you want from the car.

If you are looking for a car that won't need frequent repairs then go to a dealership and buy/lease a car. A 240sx with the stock KA24DE engine gets around 19-24 miles to the gallon, maybe 26 tops highway. If you want good gas mileage then get a honda, preferably a civic.

I won't flame this time because I feel bad for you, obviously you haven't heard of google.

Don't buy a 240 if you are poor. Bad choice.

I think the 240 is a great daily driver, there are ton's of upgrades available to make it a respectable RACE car. Avoid the RICE car. Good luck and welcome to NICO.

first of all, welcome to the forums

you can get an amazing 240 for 9k dude.. thing with 240's is there is always somethin wrong with them it seems. get a pretty good one, and use the rest of your money to get it repaired and fixed up the right way, then start in the mods and whatnot. Don't rice it all out but have fun with it, its a 240 :D and they're a fun daily driver, but be sure to search for the things to look for when you buy a 240, it helps a ton

rust + 240 = big fail, avoid it avoid it avoid it

good luck though

dont mind all the flame, it happens to anyone knew, i got owned for my noob questions
