i have been dreaming of doing a ca s13 project. if i wait i can build one and be happy but, my kouki's ka is on its last leg. now with my question,

should i transplant a ca into my s14?

there is no way i am getting into the sr20 craze, i really dislike them. don't get me wrong, they are an awsome motor but i hate the fanboy following.

if i would do a ca id build it to about 200rwhp at least(my goal-achievable)or go all out and 275rwhp+(my dream goal). with all of this said. should i wait and do the s13 project or build my current grocery getter.

my s14 is all stock as of now with 127xxx miles....starting to run alittle rough

that would be sweet, you rarely see a ca in an s14. you can easily reach your goals with a bigger turbo, injectors, intercooler, fuel pump, and tuning.

It will basically be the same swap as an S13 SR into an S14, so really not difficult. You may feel the lower torque a little more in the S14, and I'm not sure if you can put the 4.36 rear end in there...

That said though, the differences shouldn't be much more than the differences between the two motors in an S13. 200whp is easily attainable, and 275 really isn't that much of a stretch with a turbo, injectors, a/f management and supporting mods.

i was thinking about a gt28 turbo....maybe gt30 but it is a smaller motor and i am kinda looking for a faster spool but decent numbers... so a .48/.52???

anyway to beef up the tq numbers?

the more i think about it the more i get excited

you know i love the ca and all and i wouldnt want to tell anyone not to go for it but have you thought about turboing your ka? a good rebuild and turbo kit would be able the same as a motor set unless you go with forged pistons and stuff...do alot of reading before you commit but if you do go ca then we are here to help and I think it would be nice to see a s14 with a ca in it..anyways good luck with whatever you do

You could just buy mine, sale yours, and not have to worry about doing the swap, lol, here:

That listed price is being brought down alot, I'm in the process of selling some of the aftermarket parts on it, the wheels, body kit, exhaust, pullies, coilovers, and maybe fmic aren't included any more, the stock parts will all be put back on and the price will be almost cut in half.

You know, if you played your cards right, it would be possible to buy mine, sell your kouki, and turn a profit on the whole deal, lol. Just a thought.

I love my Ca, however I wont tell anyone to get one, thatss more rarity for me. your goals are almost too easily attainable, (good thing), and its definitely more different to put it into a 14. Do what you want...thats the whole purpose of building your car.
