should i swap my sohc to a dohc?

i have a 90 240sx sohc ka24e is it ok if i swap it for a dohc and what year should i look for?

Yes you can swap it. You can get any year... 91-98 is dohc. the s14 (95-98) are different than s13 DOHC. I would say look for the cleanest and less milage/abused motor. If u are looking to build the motor I would say s14 motor becuase u can swap in some 91-93 cams and some SOHC pistons and it will increase your hp.

about how much hp would i get from building a motor from that and how much would i get from a regular 95 dohc?
