Im currently am running NGK Iridums on my 240sx. I have alot of NA mods check my website if you need more info. Are Iridiums to hot for my set up? If so what should I move down to. I just ordered JWT N/A cams and Adj. Sprockets so please take that into consideration with the list I posted.

it is recommended to go one step colder for each 50-70hp gain approximately.

Reading your list of stuff, no, you don't need to run colder plugs at all. That's usually for the turbo guys & extremely built up n/a guys.

Will Im around 210hp right now going off my last dyno after the cams I should be around 220 or 225. I might go down one step colder. I want to see what all people recommend.

you got 210 hp w/ that setup up there??? to the wheels or crank? If crank, what was the dyno to the wheels. Can you post pics of that dyno.

It's just really amazing to see that much gains from essentially these mods (intake->exhaust, underdrive pullys, and minor engine work) and that guys who have totally built up the DE w/ more than what you are listing (lots of internals) are only hitting about 175whp or so.

I'm not doubting you much, I just find it astonishing that you are making that much power (if it is whp).

Crank power; Im only hitting 180 at the wheels. You didnt mention the Overbored TB, That was a really underestimated mod. Also the JWT ECU, every bushing in my car has beed replaced my suspension is maxed so that puts alot of power down. I have yet to meet another 240 owner who has been as anal about there mods. I replace everything when I do stuff. Most people with NA 240s dont go to the level of bolt on that I have. Also it depends on the dyno they calculate the HP differently depending on the machine and if its SAE, STP, on DynoJet corrections. Dyno Jets give you the most peak HP. The most accurate way of looking at peak numbers is by going off of your weight and trap speed in the quarter. If you look at you time slips you time will change but your speed will be within 1 or 2 miles per hour everytime unless you do modifications. You can test this if you like but I have about 10 slips from the last 2 times I went and my MPH is withing 1 mph on all of them and my times vary by a full second.

Using a calculator (http://www.speedworldmotorplex.com/calc.htm) you get a better peak number. Im not using this for bragging rights Im just telling you that a 160whp car weighting 3000lbs doesn't break 14s no matter how good the driver is. And with me in the car it weights slightly over that. My car isnt light because of all the suspension and brakes I have Im running big brakes, deep wheels, and full interior. Hope this helps.

from the list of mods, it doesnt look like you need to run cooler plugs. unless you are running a turbo or high compression na setup, you wont be needing the colder plugs.
