K Im replacing my steering rack and pinion and Im debating on trying to put ps back on. I would have to buy everything as my car came with none. I also would like to know if it would be safe to use the new rack and pinion without using power steering?

I say put it back on.Its not to exspensive to get the parts.

Just look on here for a guy parting a car out.I think youll be much happier in the end that you installed it.

Do you have a stock steering wheel splintercell? I bought my car with a faded pink racing wheel thats kinda small. Im wondering whether I should put PS in or just get a bigger wheel. Ill probably get a new wheel anyway since the one I have now is pink...

ive owned cars without it and i havent had it on my hatch since i got it on the road legally.you dont need it and thats that.BUT recently i had been doing some seriously tiring jobs at work, mostly on the arms (core drilling on a wall, without a mount, just hand held with a 40 lb drill) so finally i was like, ok, im over it...went to the junk yard and picked it off a car, super cheap, its been a relief

Yes, back in my immature days of liking honda lol i had a integra without power steering. For the most part you can man handle it, like during parking, but it's just always worth it to get power steering.

its an old school NARDI wheel, but it looks oem...same size. i still have fluid in the rack, but i interlooped both lines together down on driver's side of rack.

thats the only thing, but im used to it...builds up arm strength. the engine bay looks so much cleaner without p/s & a/c.

I mean it doesnt bother me really, I just wanted to know when I get a new rack and pinion that It would be ok to leave the ps off. Like if I got it would I have to fill the lines on it and then loop them?

I also have an integra as my daily and it doesnt have any ps, and doesnt bother me at all.

smaller belt..well shorter belt. Loop string around the other pulleys and cut it to length. Might be off a size either way. If it is,parts stores will trade out for the correct one.
