If you are in doubt do more research. I drove many, many cars. The Versa was not my first choice. One of my main requirements was that my oldest son (who is 6'-2") must be able to sit in the back seat. The Versa was the only car he could fit in comfortably. As for the complaints..... I only wish I could get a few miles per gallon better. I owned a Jeep Cherokee before this and at 17mpg I am not complaining too loud about the Versa.

Do the research.

Agree with the previous post. Do more research and test drive. Unless you need a new car right away--take your time and look different models etc. Good Luck

Yeah, unless you really don't like your Sentra, I don't see why you'd go out of your way to get a new car. I came from a '95 Sentra to the V and drove an '06 Sentra, which was very similar to my '95, so I can kind of relate to your situation. The Versa has quite a few things that make me glad to have it over a Sentra, though. The power steering is much better, it feels the same at any speed, unlike how my Sentra would loosen up on the highway. It seems more agile, and it seems to have more pep to the engine. It's quiet, very quiet, a big relief from my old Sentra, but that's a whole other story. It's a hatch, and hatches are better than sedans.

I guess another thing to do is read posts on other car forums. I think people are more likely to post about problems than anything else, and every forum has plenty of complaints.

One that makes me feel good is that even the Fit drivers only seem to be getting mileage around what most of us are getting on our Versas.

I'm quite happy with mine all around, and it's in today for its 15,000 mile service. (At 15,750 miles - the dealer couldn't get it in when I wanted.)

I am 95% happy with my S AT. I'm 59 and live in a warm climate. I have had none of the problems you'll find as you prowl through the forum. This is an econobox with lots of features, and a delight to drive. My 5% unhappy comes from mpg figures after 1325 miles. I average 14 miles per day, to and from work, no expressways. Mileage has been 23.5-24 mpg. The trade-off is a lower price at purchase compared to the SL CVT and 6MT.

This is exactly what I was going to say. You can go to other boards for other manufacturers and you'll get roughly the same types of postings. Lots of people come here and post, "I Love My Versa" and we never hear from them again until a problem pops up. Then there are those gear heads who have to speak with other gear heads about the current happenings.

Anyway, I haven't had one problem with my Versa yet. I've had mine for about 2 months and I have about 7k on it (long trip). There are some V's that are buggy, but it's not a signature of the bread by a long shot. My Gas mileage is still hanging in there. 30/32. It seems lots of people are experiencing lower gas mileage because winter gas formulas. Out of all the hatchbacks out there, the V is the only one I find that stands out visually (exterior) and interior comfort. It's just an all around great car.

If you own your Sentra outright, then you won't lose out on that much money. If you've financed it, there's going to be more money you're going to be out of. If it's a second car, then disregard my last sentences.
