1987 300ZX Turbo..

Everything works on car, but it would not start.. silence..when turn key.Checked starter..ok looking..hitting it..moved it..rolling start.. still silence..Interior ok to bad condition..(leather seats Sucks. both.)

Exerior ok looking..green.. T-Top.. ok..power windows not working.. rear wiper not working.. hmmm..Rust? I just don't have the heart to look..

What I want this car for is a daily driver, but I don't want to put to much money into it. It has being sitting for three years. The Owner before said it ran, when he parked it.

I'm out $500.00 bucks already.

what should i do?

What is it worth to you to have a Z? If the car needs a motor then it could get a bit pricy but if its a car that you want then it will be worth it. What did you have in mind to see whats wrong with it?

I just dont know what your budget is and your situation in life..

A 87 turbo can be a lot opf fun especially with a turboupgrade and a boost controller.

But if you were hoping for inexpesnive second car then no.

So I tentatively checked "yes"

Fred..

the number one killer of Z cars is rust, if you have a good solid chassis, then fix it, if it's a rusty heap part it, check the rear quarters down low behind the wheel, check the rear floorpan above the mounts for the trailing arm crossmsmber, check the base of your A-pillars, if rust is not substantial in any of these areas you simply must keep this car on the road, if however is's got severe rust you might just have to put it down and keep in mind that half way through 87 the turbo models got clutch type 3.7 LSD ( I just saw one go for over $500 on ebay and I just got one at a junkyard for $200 )

so I didn't vote, check the rust and you'll know my vote

I think you should sell it to someone who knows what the hell they are doing. It's obvious you haven't got a clue what's going on and probably should be supervised any time you pick up a screwdriver.
