power and fuel economy are two different things. The more power you add generally you'll lose fuel economy. It's one or the other

As for the pulley, I highly doubt it adds fuel economy. Just leave your system the way it is. Changing pulleys screws around with your cooling system and your charging system...2 things you're far better off leaving alone unless you want this car to be a race car.
