So I went for an oil change, tire rotation and break check at Nissan today and get a phone call after an hour of dropping off my car. The guy says that one of the studs that's holding my wheel to my car is stripped or something. All the mechanics their said they've never seen this before. When you try to twist the lug nut to take off the stud, the stud moves along with the lug nut and so you basically can't take it off. I've taken the wheel off around 2 weeks ago to wash my calipers and everything was fine, no issue. I think they messed it up and want me to pay for it :tisk: It's $300 and it's three hours of labor, they have to take off the whole front axle and I have no clue from there.

If you're still under warranty then they should pay for it. If you were using spacers then that's a different story.

Oh the guy never mentioned anything about warranty covering it. I'm not on spacers yet, but I just talked to the family mechanic, and he said he'd do it for $100 but I'd rather not have to pay anything at all. I'll try and talk to the dealership tomorrow.

That's good your family mechanic can do it. My guess is that they messed them up, but guess you can't prove that. Last time I went to Nissan, they left the plastic on my windshield wipers. Didn't notice till it rained the next day, haha.

Methinks your bumper-to-bumper is out on your car, and that's the only way it would end up getting covered.

I don't see why they have to go that far in to fix that... I would think all you need to do is remove the hub assembly. Sounds fishy.

What are you using for lugs? Crappy lugs can also cause this - it happened to my brother with his 240sx. He had to do the same thing.

I have Muteki lug nuts. I heard great things about them but I'm having mixed feelings. And yeah I didn't think they had to really do that much to take it off either.
