Should i go for this 95 S14? Plus questions..

Well i've been looking for a stock/ slightly modified non- sr & rb s14. i've been looking on here, zilvia, and craigslist for the past month. Every s14 that sparks my interest is either already sold, or is swapped. and today i found this one. http://losangeles.craigslist.org/sgv/ct ... 51715.html he says the transmission grinds 2nd and third when shifting fast and when downshifting. is it still worth 3800 or should i try between 3000-3500?

my other big question: if i were to replace the transmission, how hard would it be and how expensive??

You could get a used one for a couple hundred but you might just end up buying someone else's problem. You could source around your area to see how it would cost to get the transmission in it rebuilt. Labor varies widely depending on your location. You can pull the transmission without pulling the motor but it's actually less of a PITA to pull the motor.

I'd ask if he would take less than the $3,800. It depends on how the car actually looks when you get there.
