Should I go back to my old Job

When the hurricanes came through it destroyed the hotel I was working at. Was out of work for 3months before I started workign at K-mart. Now 2months later I get a call to come back to work. I called but my old boss wasn't picking up, so got to try agian tomorrow. I don't know what to do. Between my current job at the good old K-Mart yes they still exist and the hotel where I valet park I would quit k-mart fatser then you could say I quit. Make 6.25 doing pain in the arse work , and putting up with B.S. Or make 3/hr plus tips (usually $70 avg.) and all I do is greet the guest and drive their cars. Yes you do get the occasional angry guest but when they come back their car has less tread....still trying to figure out why this happens I graduate school friday an dplan to go to college this fall out of state. Should I stay here and make killer $$ or go up north where I will make good $$$ an dhwere I will be going to school. Up north I work for my cousin and make probably 600 a week. Next few months here i will probably have 2 weeks of making 1,000(bike week and pepsi 400) and then the rest will be 500+. Up north I will get some better benefits from my cousin though.

I can't stay in school any longer. I'm so burned out. I'm taking a 9month vacation and going to college in the fall. I already have money saved for college and a $5500 scholarship

Doesn't college start in late august. So I guess it will be 8 months vacation not 9.Because I'm a good student and qualified to graduate early.So I didn't pass the oppurtunity up.

I dunno man, tough call. Kinda like Jezter said, you gotta do what you feel is best for you. I'm not all about K-mart so I'd probably go back to your old job though.

Dam, thats weak the hotel only pays $3 bucks an hour? I do valet at a hotel in San Diego and we get paid $7.00 an hour plus about $50-$70 in tips a day. But I'd say bye bye to K-Mart in a second. Parking Porshes, BMWs, Mercedes never gets old. In the past week I've driven a Maserati Coupe , Bentley Continental GT, a couple of Ferraris, and before the NBA season started the L.A. Lakers stayed at my hotel for 2 weeks for Pre-season training. I got to dirve Kobe Bryants Mercedes AMG V12 and most of the other current L.A. Lakers cars. Doing valet is way better than workin at K-mart any day

Stability is going to be a major factor when you grad and your interviewers ask you about your prev. work history. You don't even have to list the 3 mos you weren't at the hotel because if you're getting rehired after a natural disaster blew away your employer it's just like continuity. Like you never left. Plus it sounds like it's got better oppurtunity for more money and less responsiblility. Something to always keep in mind if you're working and in school.

I believe the minimum wage here in iowa would be 5.25. I'm not real sure, cuz i've never had to accept it.

Our minimum wage is $5.15, but new law just passed goinh up to $6.15. I'm taking 2 week vacation to go hunting/ see family, and when I come back I'll be valet
