Should I get Tail Light Tints?

Discussion of Infiniti's amazing (and underrated) sport-luxury crossovers, the EX35 and EX37. For 2014, the EX series will be renamed QX50, in line with Ininfiit's new naming conventions.

I am seeing a lot of cars on the street with tail light tints. i do think they look neat and its a cheap way to inprove the cars appearance. my only concern is will it affect the light output to the point that it would be unsafe? i mean i know there are different % tints but for the most part will it be harder for the guy behind me to see the brake light?i am asking because i want to put on tail light tints but i would never put appearance over safety.what tints should i get?

u can get them tinted at different %

bluematmobile does alot of these things. but the truth is, unless you're going for the stealth look i think it looks ghetto on this car.

It only looks good if it is done right IMO. Too dark is will look ghey and unsafe. Do a light tint so the lights can blend in with a dark colour car. Here's an example from another member that's done tastefully.

Hope it helps. And after all it's your car so do what you feel like it's best for YOU.

Cheers.

Remember I sent you a copy of the Ontario Traffic Act a while back? It mentioned no blue light should be use/visible from the front of any non emergency or non snow removal vehicle. So you're risking of being pulled over or ticketed by giving yourself some blue lights in front. And why would you want a set of blue tinted headlights for a Dark Currant EX?

But like I always said...You're the one driving YOUR EX so do whatever YOU feel like.

it was just a thought but i guess i wont do it after all if its illegal. its not a blue light though i was looking on ebay and i saw some light blue tints. they are only 83% tints with a hint of blue. are those illegal?also what about tinting tail lights. are those illegal too?

dude chill out, you drive an EX, not a civic....though it IS your car so to each his own

if ur tailight tint is dark enough to the point where it's not visible from X distance (do not know what it is in Ontario) u will be pulled over

also i forgot where but there's a poster who makes fun of overlays for xenons.....you're cutting the output of your headlights with that tint...you might as well have bought the base EX without HIDs then....
