i have the chance to get a pretty clean 94 vert for relly cheap.

the bad: the problem are the motor is blown, need a new top, passengers side rear window is out of line, and minor paint damage. the big problem is that it back at home in hawaii.

the good: the dash is perfect no crack, no rips in the seats, and its a vert.

when i go back to hawaii i only have a month to get it running. i have a spare sohc ka that needs new gaskets and a harness to drop it in. u guys think i should get it

here's a pic of the passenger window

you can fix that window... mine did that when I first got it it had just popped off track. I'd skip the sohc if you only have a month, esp. cause its a step backward anyway (and will require other mods). Go for a fresh dohc, rebuild the dohc in it, or put in something better (ca/sr). the top is prolly gonna be a pain or expensive but.. eh in hawaii I'm guessing it willb e down most of the time anyway!

yeah that the whole point i want to get the vert. when i go back i just want to get it running so i can ship it back up to the mainland. its kinda hard to find a 240 motor on the big island. how much do u think the vert's worth?

I paid about $650 for mine like that from a junkyard (clean title though) but mine needed some bodywork too. and was missing some parts. There is a clean shell here in houston with no motor already swapped to 5 speed that just sold for $1800. I'd guess somewhere in between.

$400 isn't bad for a car. $500 in ohio gets you a rusty running 1984 dodge aries. Considering the location and that its a 240 vert, 400 is cheap. Of course you should d!ck to see if they'll go down. Good luck!

I got the SR for $1500, basically complete with 50k on it. My KA had 228k. I would have spent that much just rebuilding the engine and trans BEFORE I even thought about a turbo kit. Point being, it was a matter of finances, not the SR being inherently better than a KA.
