Basically I can buy this flood damaged 350 for around $3500 shipped. The guy doesn't have a title but I'm going to my DMV to see if I can get one for it. I don't know the guy personally but he says the body is pretty mint, all the parts that are off the car are included he just has them in storage bc he planned on making it a track car, it is an auto. Also said the motor isn't locked up bc he has taken a socket and turned the motor manually. I'm not new to Nissans at all but I've never dealt with a flood damaged car so I'm just wanting some input. Any help would be great especially a ball-park figure of what it might cost to get the car back up and running. Thanks

Are you buying it for parts? I would think it would be a salvage title, it would be hard to make any $$$ off of it being salvage or rebuild title. I wouldn't buy it unless your buying it to have parts for another Z. It would cost a ton to rebuild that thing, needs wheels, lights are also not cheap, fenders, front bumper, interior, not to mention the electrical damage and engine damage that may have occurred. Guess it depends on what you want it for...... Just my opinion.

No, I'd be buying it to fix up and drive myself. Also that's what I assumed about the title, any flood damaged vehicle I've ever heard of has atleast had a salvage title which can be turned into a rebuilt title then driven on the street after being inspected by the state police (atleast that's how it is in VA.) The fenders, bumper and interior are all included with the car they're just not on it right now. The guy said the fenders and bumper are mint and the seats are fine. Appreciate the input.

ok good deal, just be smart about it, make the seller take the pictures of the other items he has for the car. Make sure he isn't scamming you. Also ask about the original wheels. My guess is he sold them. Just don't want you to get screwed, so ask lots of questions, and question his answers. Thats all i got..... Good Luck. Post pics of the rebuild for others to see please.

i agree with bob...i think that it will cost you more to rebuild that thing than to just buy a certified used one...and less headache...unless you're doing this whole this as a hobby. also the resale value will be kaka even after spending tons of cash on it.
