k...so back in the winter, I did something really dumb, and hit my friend's car (she drives a Civic) while it was parked in my driveway.

My front bumper cracked a bit, while her back bumper only had a few paint scratches!! I was pretty shocked that my bumper actually cracked, considering I was only going at about 5km/h (~3mph) at the time.

Anyways, I'm thinking of getting the bumper repaired now, I have yet to take it into a bodyshop to get an estimate, but I was thinking, maybe I'll just get the Stillen front fascia + grill instead, since that'll be about $500 (plus about $100 in shipping), and if the bumper costs anything upwards of $250 to fix, then going with the Stillen fascia becomes a real serious consideration for me.

The thing is, one of my coworkers was telling me that I could probably get the crack in my bumper welded back together for pretty cheap, maybe $100 or so, but I'm not sure if that's the case or not.

Anyways, here's a pic of my bumper, let me know what you guys think.

that is a reall easy fix. take your bumper off and put some FAST DRYING epoxy glu and sandwitch the two oposipe parts of the crack together. wait 20 minutes then let it alone for another hour or two. it shouldn't even be visible anymore since your crack is soo clean. SERIOUSLY ITS THAT EASY

A word of warning, I have the Stillen Fascia (and love it)

It will cost 500 for the part + 200 shipping + 100 customs + 300 to 500 to paint it.

Get the Stillen if you like to look, not because it might be close in cost to the repair (because it won't).

you can get it back together, but welding the bumper isn't an option. so far as epoxy goes i would say instead of a using glue, lightly sand the inside with a rough low grit sand paper and then while having the crack pressed together use a short hair fiberglass body repair kit to cover the inside (non-showing) crack. when the compound sets up it is insansely strong and with a little touch up paint you'll have a solution that costs you less than 40 bucks.if you want to go that route email me and i'll let you know everything you need and how to prep and apply the compound.. it's really simple and the trip to the auto parts store will take longer than the job itself.

OEM is the way to go! Just use plastic epoxy works. Stillen front everyone on here almost looks the same.

damn...close to $1000 for the fascia?? hmm I may just try to fix it myself...altho I really have no experience doing this kinda thing.

how much you think a bodyshop would charge to do the epoxy/glue thing some of you guys have suggested?

This is a good point...Your insurance can pay their share and once you pay yours it'll only be an extra couple hundred for our fascia...If you like our fascia and can spring for the extra cost then it is an option.

not sure if I wanna go through insurance, as I've already made 2 claims within a year a couple years back, so my insurance is super high right now...can't afford to have it go up any higher...

but I do really like the look of the stillen fascia...damn, so tempting.
