Should I expect seat noise to be fixed under warranty?

I'm undecided if I should attempt to receive warranty work from the dealer in regards to seat noise.

The noise seems to come from the (drivers seat) left-side bolster whenever I make any movements, or accelerate. I would describe the noise as a (pretty loud) creak, and a physical movement can be felt (from the internal frame). My concern is, it does not occur with my wife in the seat. It only seems to happen to my... ahem... "big-boned" 6' 8" frame.

I sat in other M35s of the same year, and it did not happen to me in any of the others (both low and high mileages). I've tried adjusting the seat out of the maximum settings I use to eliminate potential rubbing, no luck though. I'm convinced it's an issue with the internal frame of either the lowest portion of the seat-back, or the left-side-bolster.

So would this be considered a "normal-wear" issue, or can I attempt to get it fixed under warranty? If there's any possibility I can get it repaired under warranty, I would love to know.

I know that I have replaced several under normal wear warranty. I cannot speak for your dealer, but they should address the complaint.

That's fantastic to hear, it means it's definitely a possibility then! I will probably take it to the dealer next week, and let you know what I find. Thanks Steve.

I have the same creak from the drivers side, front left corner. I can replicate it when I press on it, but it happens when I turn, since my body shifts from side to side in the seat. I am going to submit it when I go in for my next oil change.
