Should I buy this Q?

91 Q45a 138K chain guide done but has some knocking sound.

He is a memeber on this forum, maybe you guys can work somethin out, I think the car is beautiful and I just so happen to have a spare motor, but my wife would kill me:)

TorQue45, if you were to save that Q, I'm sure it would pay you back in the long run. That car is worth it simply for the parts. If you decide you are going to buy it I may be able to get you a used JDM engine for it.

Such funky lighting for that picture. It does look nice.....in the twilight, at least.

Active though, so according to Q45 Tech, add another $7500 for that, and a good engine for $1500 + labor.

From the previous thread, I don't think the seller does either. If it were chain guides that were replaced & the gra-doo wasn't removed from the pan & pickup, then it's probably oil starved & spun or otherwise scored a bearing (or 5 or 8)
