i found a 1990 240sx hatch on craigslist for 300 bucks.CLEAN TITTLE,reg up to date.It has 70k,suspension is good,body straight needs paint,no rust,stock wheels,interior all there.
bads:car caught on fire complete engine harness to ecu,cluster,egnition,melted,dash is half melted,wideshield is busted.engine is complete is car with 70k.I have a complete single cam motor including pumps,distributor,alternator,etc i also have a complete single cam harness ,cluster ,ecu.
what do you guys think about it?300 goood??
should i buy this 240sx?

I am really so tired of these threads. We cant help you, we have no idea of your experience and we dont know your budget. A fire car can and is gonna be a BIG project.
Questions I would ask yourself.
Do I have the experience and know how to fix this car?Do I know how to search the internet to find solutions to problems I may come accross, or am I going to be getting flamed on NICO for every issue that comes up?Do I want the headache of rebuilding a car that was at one time on fire?Do I have the money to put into this car, which is most likely going to need every harness in the car replaced?
Thats just to start. If I was you, I would be on the phone with the owner of the car and find out just why the car went up in flames. It might not be worth it. If you are going to buy it then feel free, but any car that has been on fire is gonna need ALOT of work and might be more hassle than its worth. I wouldnt pay more than $100 for it though. About the only real benefit to building a car like this is that you will know every aspect of the car in and out, because you will be replacing the majority of the wiring in the car.
