Verts are not easy to come buy. I searched autotrader.com, cars.com, craigslist.org and other places online as well as local car lots for about three months before I finally came up with mine. In fact, I was even considering buying a freaking Sebring because I was having such a hard time finding a nice 240 vert at a reasonable price, but I finally found it on Craigslist (Atlanta.) The guy was asking for 3K. I talked him out of $150 and ended up paying $2850, but it had 117k miles, leather interior, a new JVC head unit (mp3 player ready) as well as new struts all the way around. Offer the guy something less. There isn't a "magic" number out there, as a car's worth is determined by how much you are willing to pay. When I bought mine, there were a couple of people that said they thought the price was a little high for mine, but if I found another one just like it, I would probably buy it and have a spare. >:P~ The bad cylinder (for the top) is almost a non-issue. I would bet it can be rebuilt in a shop (industrial/motor shop, not automotive) for a reasonable price. but rust is a bad thing. Use your best judgment.
