Okay, I am totally losing sleep over this one...Here's the deal, found a 240sx in a local boneyard:1989 hatch, no radio, no spoiler (good - no hatch rot), very minor rust (out-of-state car), 110,000mi, pw. May include Nissan manual in back seat. The bad news is they don't know if it runs (guy thinks it will) and it has no wheels (i.e. is sitting in the dirt). I think it didn't have keys (abandoned), but that is easily remedied. Oh yeah, and the junkyard guys are stupid pricks. They want $900 and refuse to budge on price, so I said 'no' this afternoon ($750 was more my speed). But now I'm having second thoughts...If he gives me wheels (so I can tow it) and proves it runs, I might be interested. But I'm not expecting much - unmotivated seller (he can part it out for $$).Should I jump on this? These cars are few and far between in Michigan (especially this low on rust), but I'd prefer a twin-cam...I suppose I could just file it away as a source for parts when I find the right car...

I agree, too much money for something that doesn't even have wheels and may not run. There are better deals out there, don't worry. You aren't losing by not buying this. I would pay no more than $300 for it.

250 to 500 max, that car sounds beat. they dont know if it works or not. It dosen't have tyres on it and to top it off 900 bucks. Hey at least it dosent have any "Hatch Rot".

It's not sitting stripped in a boneyard because it runs great. You can buy a complete one that you can actually test drive for not much more than what the boneyard wants for it.
