Should I black out Rims / Chrome ????

In 2014, the G37 Sedan became Infiniti Q50. G37 Coupe and Convertible became Infiniti Q60 under Infiniti's new naming structure - Here's the place to discuss the Q50 and Q60!

I have a Chestnut Brown Q50s and am interested in potentially purchasing aftermarket rims and/or simply plasti-dipping my current rims and chromed pieces black. With a brown car i'm a little hesitated about how it will turn out. My main question being has anyone ever done this before or seen a car like that before - just worried it would look bad. Thanks

The car has chrome trim, so it wouldn't be out of place imho. Maybe black rims with chrome lips? If you smoke all the lights and tint all the windows, then maybe you want more black. Anyway, it's all personal taste and style. Post some pictures!

It's more a matter of taste. Personally I think black wheels with all the chrome would not look right and you would want to black it all out.

I want to black out my chrome trim so badly. I just haven't been able to do it yet. I'm looking at vinyl wrapping, but worried at potential damage to the chrome trim should I wish to remove it later.

Just go for it, if you decide you don't like it, just peel it off, that is the beauty of plasti-dip.

Will probably take about 5 cans max to do all the wheels and chrome trim.

You also might want to hit it with the plasti-dip glossifier, I think it would look good.
