i was changing my brake pads the other day and my friend noticed this.... its on both the drivers side and the passenger side joints. the car is a 91 fastback and its been in one minor accident.... caused by me. its been in my family since it was new and thats the only accident it was ever in. i was wondering if this problem should be addressed asap or as soon as i get time and money... this pic is from the driver side and the next post is from the pass side.....

any help thanks

That happens to all 240's. That is th T/C rod bushing. When they rip the sillicone oil leaks out and the bushing is WAAAYY too soft. I reccomend replacing them with urathane bushings from Whiteline. It's not deadly to drive around like that but you will notice much better handling under braking when they have been replaced.

If you wanna spend a little more money, get tien adjustable rods with sypherical bearings. Somewhat harsh ride, but very responsive. http://www.importfan.com sells them for $200

as an after thought, you have the money, buy replacemnt bushings for the ENTIRE car. There are like 50 of em i think in various places.
