Okay, i'm very picky.

my previous cars are BMW 3 Series, VW Touareg V8

now I have 2006 M35 with every option including rattles.i have rattles from the moonroof cover, rear, front driver door, front passenger windshield....etci have now even noticed wheel noise, very noisy at high speed... i recently purchased 2 new tires for the rear, and are rated quitter than the stock, no difference.

car is certified pre own and still under warranty, any of them known issues?

know them all.

I don't even take it in for rattles any more. They just look at me like I'm an a$$.

So far I have repaired and insulated myself...

The passanger door rattle. The passenger door speaker rattle. The sunroof visor rattle. The glove box rattle. The woofer/rear panel rattle. The lane departure camera rattle. The rearview mirror plastic holder rattle. The sunglass case rattle. And the loose wires behind the CD player rattle.

I am working on the next few weeks the following rattles...

The driver side door rattleThe (I THINK) A-pillar rattleThe (I THINK) front dash/maybe windsheild rattleThe front center speaker rattle

And I am going to take it in for the imtermittent rearview mirror buzzing. (THIS ONE'S KILLING ME)

My $27,000 4runner had more attention paid to it, than the Infiniti.

My car retailed for $59k brand new.

Cars with tight suspensions (especially Sport suspensions) are going to make the noises sooner than a soft riding car. It's a fact of life and it doesn't matter who makes the car. It's even worse if you have bad roads where you live. That's been my experience over the past 25 years on New England roads and it's held true for every one of my cars and those of my friends.

It usually starts with the sunroof and migrates into the doors and dash from there. My M35 Sport is pretty tight still with 58k on the clock, but I can hear the sunroof and dash over certain roads. It's worth it for how this car handles .

my rearview mirror always rattles over rough surfaces, the passenger door has intermittent rattles, when the sunroof is open it rattles on bumps, when it rains my driver side view mirror makes some weird low ticking noise and when i play music, the entire rear panel rattles...and when i accelerate quickly over bumpy surfaces, i hear a loud thump....theres no excuse, this should not be happening in a 50k+ car, you certainly wont hear these noises from other luxury cars....i love everything else about the car...but after experiencing two german cars (bmw, mbenz) and now my second japanese car (toyoya, infiniti) i can tell the difference. when it comes to build quality, german cars are better....when it comes to technology and value, you cant beat a japanese car.....

Hello,I was hoping some of those ride characteristics were banished in the redesign. For many of the previous generation, there is an all too common rattle directly over the nav screen on the dashboard. I had to take it to three dealers to finally fix. Was so pronounced, I was ready to trade it in if I could not get it fixed.

Quite used to the rear view mirror rattle which especially manifests itself over draw bridges which I drive over daily. Sunroof too. I think part of this is also the low sidewall 18 and 19 inch wheels combined with the aforementioned suspension tuning.

It is kinda lame that my gf's 1996 Acura RL with 230,000 miles trounces my M in ride quality and rattles. Still love the car, gave up on vanishing rattles.Cheers,ML

I don't even know of a car that exists that DOESN'T Rattle. I've had New Nissan's, Infiniti's . Acura's, Land Rover's,Chrysler's every single one of them have had some some type of rattle somewhere.

my '03 M45 doesn't have a single rattle or squeak (yet) Now, this was a California car that is now in Arizona, always driven on what are most likely some of the smoothest roads in the USA. Only 34K miles too. Guess we'll see what happens over time. Maybe I just got lucky.

What did you use to insulate those areas?

Hello,If always on smooth roads, my car does not rattle as well. In Florida, the road quality is quite good. After getting the aforementioned dash rattle fixed, the only time I hear rattles is when driving over the Intercoastal Waterway bridges that I must drive over to reach my house on a barrier island.

Ride quality is another story, from reading the launch reviews, the car was made a stiff as humanely possible to establish its performance stripes.Cheers,ML

Guys it's a fact of life cars will rattle specially on bad roads. I have own a few Lexus and they rattle. Road condition is to be blame for this. Now with the M the tight suspension will make it more sensitive to rattles.

totally agree but the M's suspension even the sport is not that stiff where it could cause so many rattles

I have a bunch of sheets of felt and foam that I had from way back when I had my 4runner. I just use that.

Bump to bring it back, well I haven't paid 50k for it but the previous owner did , he even paid 59,xxx per the sticker I found with the car with the manuals and its just not right to have this money spent ona vehicle and it has these annoying noise/rattles, my car rattles like crazy I try to pin point where it's coming from and I think it's gloves compartment and the ceiling trim/lining. My temporary fix is to leave my music loud but that isn't really helping. Can any of the M35 vets chime in or have some pics on how to fix this.

I only have the rear deck rattle during certain levels of bass with the stereo loud. Other than that, I'm good. The only fix for that I imagine is to dismantle the rear deck and add dynomat which is how Infiniti should have done it to begin with. I have an 07 so maybe next year I will be in your shoes, but if it's got warranty coverage for rattles, I say take it back and see if they can do anything for you. Chance are, they have delt with it on other cars. Sorry you're having that issue.
