Does anybody have a clue as to where I would be able to acquire a Brank new oem right side quarter panel for a 1990 240sx fastback? They are on backorder from nissan with no eta, which most likely means the B/O will not be released and will be made obsolete. I DO NOT want a used quarter panel or aftermarket, those are last resort. I'm basically going to call every nissan dealership in the country to try and track down this part, hoping that for some stupid reason one of them has a quarter panel sitting on the shelf. I just figured I would hit up my fellow Nico members first to see whats up. Thanks.

the one on there i looked at was about 700 bucks... I wouldn't want to put that kind of money towards a 240.. even if you are doing all the work yourself.

But if that's what floats your boat, good luck to ya!

Haha. Na I'm not doing the work, my friend works atsa collision shop and is going to be replacing the quarter and tailight pocket. He insists on a new one to do the job as clean as possible(he's a perfectionist like myself). It is the only rusted area on the car and its full of mud and misaligned so it needs addressed. Also the entire car inside and out is going to be painted at this time so I feel its worth it.

Sounds like proper work is going to be done. :dblthumb:
You rarely see that in the 240 world nowadays.

You're what's wrong with the 240 community.

Very nice, I like. I love it when people spend time and do things right with these cars instead of slapping them together. Please make a build thread.

I wasn't saying it because I think it's a horrible idea. It's a great idea, and if that's what he wants to do then I'm encouraging him. It's a great thing to see professional level work on cars that are abused.

Also basing my assumption that there is probably something else wrong with the car, but now we know that it's the only affected area, AND that he's going to be doing a full paint job, the idea is much more rational.

Thanks, a build thread is in the works. I'm already 9 months into this project, gotta get some pics uploaded of other things done thus far.
