Shorty headers?

Has anyone with the 3.7, M37 or Q70 installed the Z1, Stillen or equivalent type shorty headers that should just line up even with stock cats if I'm not mistaken? I'm really curious if anyone here has. I've done a search. Haven't seen our models with headers. Plenty of G37 and Q60 cars have.

Many have looked at headers for added power but unfortunately haven't been able to find companies that make these for our cars, I know the M37, Q70 share the same engine and from my understanding the G37 and Q60 are the same but different in certain ways as well. The age old question will come up is it worth the money for 5-10 horsepower gain for a butt load of money but each his own. Some other members will chime in as well. If you do happen to find some and make it work please document for all. Good luck and keep us posted.

I had talked to a shop a while back that was willing to try to install the stillen headers on my M as well as high flow cat and exhaust. I opted to not spend the that much money and I just installed the exhaust myself. They were confident that it could be done but I couldn't get past the cost at the time.

Makes sense. Especially on my side here in California. Instal and remove every other year? Forget that!!! I'm sure I could pass the sniffer. Just not the visual. Sucks living in a state run by liberals.
