In the last couple months since my last oil change my formerly perfect match of my oil level to the fullmark kept creeping up ever so slightly week by week.

I suspected my ultra short daily trips to work, in cold start made for some dilution of oil by water and fuel ( very common).

So this weekend I finally was able to stretch the cars legs real well, up some hills at high speeds.

Heating up the oil and it looks like I got rid of the water+ fuel dilution in the oil.

I think so because now, my oil if taken on perfectly even terrain, matches the exact line of the full mark again.

I guess during winter its extra important to get the oil hot at least once a week.

Fred...:D

Sent my oil to blackstone labs to have it tested. We will see what happens.

Fred... How long do you think driving a Q is long enough to get the oil "hot".... I drive 5 miles to my daily commute, but it takes 10 mins.... Is that enough??
