I installed my new fidanza short throw shifter yesterday, and before buttoning things up I replaced the e-brake and shifter boots. I try the gears before putting the trim back on, and what do I find, my car wont go into 2nd gear or reverse for some reason. It goes into the other gears fine. Has anyone had this problem other than me?

Check the bolts that go thru the base of the shifter into the linkage bracket. The bolt that goes there can be too long and interfere with the travel of the shifter linkage.

It's a common problem with the Stillen knock off shifters, whether it be the Fidanza or the cheap replicas found on ebay.

nah, it was fine, only had to use one of them. I figured it out. The spacer that goes on top of the linkage bracket was upside down when it was shipped, so I assumed that it went on that way. I flipped it over and it worked fine. A little notchy, but brass bushings should solve that.

Yeah I had the same type of problem with my fidanza short shift, it was messed up for awhile just like that. My second would go, but barely or sloppy
