Short shifter woes...

I installed my short throw and now I got this horrendous rattle/vibration thing going on.. I don't know if it is because the new one (Fidenza) has no rubber bushing in the handle or if I f'd up the install. Pretty sure I did it right. Not rocket science. I even tried it with the oem snap rings and with the included aluminum top plate/bushing installed. No change. What I was wondering is this: Could it be bad U-joints or possibly bad transmission/diff pinions? At a loss. I spent so much time getting rid of rattles just to have this one pop up. I HATE rattles!
