I disagree, I have a real C's short shifter on my S14 and it's ever bit as solid as the Tomei and B&M short shifters.

yes I must agree Nismo_Freak. The C's is quite awesome. OBX is junk and kinda to be expected for something what under $100? B&M is a solid shifter although the rattling is apparently an issue for some. I'll let you know next week when my buddy Chris gets his and I'll have my C's installed in my sr for the comparison.

You can only get used C's shifters, the company is no more.

BTW, my C's does not rattle.

I think touge factory had them on their site a little while back, dunno if they've got anymore since they were selling them cheap at 205. I bought mine used for 180 *ugh*.

I got the OBX/pilot. Never had any problems, is 100 times better than stock, and shows no sign of wear or rattle. I'm sure B&M is better but for twice the price? I am more than content with mine.

well there is a reason the B and M shifter is priced where its at...its a bolt on replacement for the stock shifter as in all u do is bolt it down...no dealing with the dumb little lips on the OBX/Pilot/Cs shifter...it is the most SOLID feeling shifter out there...it doesnt move around in gear...one its in gear...its in gear...it is worth plunking down 250 bones for...remember u get what you pay for in car parts...after driving my friends S14 with it...it cant wait to get rid of my POS OBX short shifter

My B&M doesn't rattle anymore. It was the friggin' shift knob that came with it. The etched cap that goes on top of the ball is what rattles. All I did was pop it back off, filled the top of the ball with polyurethane and put the cap back on it. It is now the quietest thing in my car. As for the shift feel, I've felt a C's shifter before and it is solid, just not as solid as a B&M. The rebound on it is still stock-like too. The B&M rebounds like an NBA star due to its built in springs that force the stick back to resting position fast. Also, 1st and 2nd gear side movement has a softer spring, while 5th and Reverse have a harder spring. With the unit setup the way it is, its hard to miss a gear with it.
