I've done this before. Get one from e-bay. You'll need a few things though. It's faily simple but it can be a pain to do. You'll need a rubber washer like the black one pictured. The one I used is taller so I needed help to put the bolts back in place. You just need someone to put their weight on it. You'll also need a small piece of wire. There is a plastic part that acts as a bearing sort of. The goes around the ball portion of the shifter and on mine was too big to fit the new one. I just put a twist tie (like used to tie a bread bag with). This held it in tight enough to fit. You may need some grease to get the washer over the ball on the shifter but once you get it all together you won't have to worry about the shifter feeling like it's not in place. <img src=http://www.b2b-industrial-supply.com/ri ... sher-B.jpg</>

CRAP!!! Sorry here's the link to what I was looking at. Also I forgot to mention that you can get this from places like Lowes. I think it was less than $2.
