Short Shifter ?.....
Can I use my KA24E Short Shifter in my SR transmission? Just trying to save a couple Bucks....

supposedly, aside from the longer 5th and the different bellhousing on the KA, the two transmissions are identical. go ahead and use it. i bought a japanese SR20 shortshifer (like the jap equivalent of the B&M) and its on my KA transmission right now working great.
*EDIT oh, i didnt see it was a KA24E not a DE, so i am not 100%, but im pretty sure that its the same.

lol....thanks man, I knew I could use the KA transmission w/the SR bellhousing, Although I don't wanna do that because I had a clutch pedal problem for a week and caused me to do alot of grinding so that transmission would be no good....just wasn't sure about the SS tho...This way I won't have to go back to a stock shifter (ewww) when I swap. I'll save up and get C's eventually, but for now I'll stick with the OBX (yeah I know not the best but it works good and IMO better than stock).

No offense, but.....Wow you guys are confusing me. I'm not using KA ANYTHING....Will my OBX SS (currently installed in my KA24E transmission/gearbox) work in my SR transmission/gearbox? I'm just trying to be thorough.....I am not gonna use SR bellhousing with KA transmission/gearbox.....I hope I have been clear about it this time....I really mean no offense and none of these statements are aimed at being sarcastic and I apologize if it seems that way.
