so i got my 240 a couple weeks ago and love it exceptt for a few things yall pros might know about since i was a honda lover before hand heh.

first of it has a B&M short shifter and from about 3000 till red line the shifter rattles and it gets worse as the rpms climb.

second it has a rev limiter at 6500 which is odd is my buddy's 91 auto goes past 7k no problem

third it has a wheel wobble from time to time it comes and goes its really odd

so input would be greatly apreciated thank you

Make sure the bushing at the bottom of the shifter is there. Mine is just a piece of plastic.

I think Auto ecu has different fuel maps and may not have a rev limit, because the the auto trans would shift before then anyway.

I recall reading to take off the shifter bushing they supply and replace with a new OEM type

mine rattled like a diamond back. window weld'd the transmission mount that was non existent and I dont have the problem anymore.

is the wheel wobble rpm or speed dependent? I had a blown shock feel like that, but then again a tire that is not balanced will also wobble/shake.

the wobble is more prevalent at low speeds but is still there at higher speeds and i have apexi coilovers so i doubt its a shock, the car did sit for 6 months before i bought it so idk if its a flat spotted tire. it comes and goes so im not sure if its a hub problem im just lost with it lol

your wheel wobble is most likely your tires. they are bad or just need balancing.

you would know with out a question if it was your wheel hub.

On a stock KA, there is no advantage of having a higher 7000rpm redline since the KA power drops off at 5700rpm iirc.

As for the wooble, its not when your on the brakes is it? possible warped rotor.

KA's make power all the way up to 7500. thats when the real fun begins.

is it an actual B&M or is it some drop-in ebay steez. my b&m hasnt had any problems with that.

and you offset your plate to cover up your abscence of that black grille?

id rather cover up the mounting thing thats molded into the bumper. with the plate. like you should do.

and is that really a novelty plate? as in...completely unnecessary?
Nothing wrong with the ebay shifter you troll, feels the same as a b&m to me, and the rattle is easily fixable in them at least unlike the b&m.

no, a stock ka does not make power over 5500 rpm period, so that can be done proof...http://www.ka24development.com/file_ima ... _chart.jpg

stuff was justified, in MY opinion.

i dont think its right to compare shifters when one is 1/10th of the price. honestly.

The OP, who you were quite hard on, said twice its a B&M.

Back on topic I think I would have used a new OEM bushing, checked the trans mount, and associated bolts, visual inspection.

Oh and for the suspension issue.... Take it to any firestone / tiresplus and get them to do an allignment check / visual. They may locate and issue, then you get a free little printout of how good or bad the alignment is.
