Short Shifter Quick Question. 240SX KA vs SR20DET

Hi folks,

Been doing some reading but looking for knowledge from those that have done this.

'89 Nissan 240sx. I want to put in a short shifter (B&M or whatever) but down the line I plan to put in an SR20DET engine. Does anyone know if the short shifter is the same between the KA non turbo and the SR20DET? I have looked on the B&M website and it makes little sense. I called a speed shop in town and they aren't sure.

99% sure it will be fine on both. They share the same transmission, different bellhousing

I can vouch 100% I did the same thing you are planning

I ran my B&M in my sohc transmission for 2 years, then swapped it into my sr20det transmission with NO problems.

B&M is an awsome mod, worth every dime
